| XD 40 safety concerns Hello, I just bought a XD 40 compact, and after I got home with the gun, I noticed on the Springfield website that the 2008 model now has an additional safety lever. Mine has the trigger and grip combination, and not the lever. Does anyone know if this safety combination can be a problem when taking the gun out of the holster? Did Springfield add this lever for that reason? I am left handed and like a good shoulder holster, any recommendations for the XD? Last edited by otisray; 02-28-2008 at 07:05 PM.
