| Senior Member | XD Owners Group I joined the XD Owners Group a few weeks back and so far there are only 2 posts and both are by me. Any other XD Owners out here who want to join in so we can share our experiences? Let's show some support for out choice of gun.

| Member | Love my XD 45... One of the nicest feeling guns i have ever shot. Feels like it is a quality made gun with a solid feel to it. Have only put about 150 rounds through it so far, but it has already earned its place as my daily carry. I never felt under gunned with my 1911 at 8 shots so i certainly don't feel that way with my XD at 14 rounds... |

| Member | Fired my new XD-9 this morning and found all to be well. 150 rounds without a single hitch. 100 FMJs and 50 JHPs. Still waiting for my XD-40 but it should only be a couple more days. Not sure yet if I like the XD better than the Glock but it is growing on me rapidly. |

Also, yes I want to be in the XD owner's group. Right now I only have the XDm, but I envision at some point in the future I'll have a bunch more. I'm glad I got started with Springfield Armory - Very impressive guns. Later, B

| HMFIC ![]() | I would recommend joining the group...but for sure posting most things here in the Springfield forum. It will get more response for sure

| Senior Member | I have an XD40 that I've had since February. Love that gun: soft trigger, soft shooting. The only problem I have is that it is dead-on...two inchs to the left of the "spot" (I use a paper plate with a stick-on orange dot at 13 yards). I've used it with a table and support, as well as free standing, and it always hits slightly to the left. If I aim two inches to the right, it hits the dot. I marked the sight location with a pencil line then tapped the dovetailed sight with a brass punch and hammer. Tapped harder, checked, tapped harder, then quit. Is there a press that will move this sight? There is a scribe mark on each side of the sight. These might be holding it in place. Thanks for your help. Dave ![]() |

| Member | xd sights are fricking hidraulic press in you will have to use a dremmer to get those suckers out. my old xd did the same. and adjusting the rear sight is easier. repacing the sights on my new xd-m was a lot easier. after removinng the original ones I put the slider in boiling water for about 20min and the new sights in the freezer for the same time. installing was smooth and easy and |

Are all handgun sights sort of clunky? My XDm is - at least in comparison with my son's .22 rifle sights. I have considered putting on some new sights that are highly visible and sleek, but have not because of the things I read about getting the old sights out (the hydraulic press thing). I may just leave it alone since I probably won't be sighting anything in at 75 yards...more like 20 feet and it doesn't need to be that accurate. What do you guys think? Are all handguns like that? With clunky sights? Later, B

| Senior Member ![]() | Let's hope not, 'cause XDs haven't and aren't presently experiencing the same dilemma...
