Xd conversion barrels

anyone have any experiance with the xd conversion barrels.

Hey David,

I had done alot of research into the conversion barrels a while back. What I found was alot of mixed thoughts. Some worked great, others didn't. I was originally going to pick up a 9mm conversion for my XDm40. In the long run, I voted it out because of the unsurities and just picked up a couple of 9mm Springfields. If you look throught past threads, you'll probably find alot of input on the subject. I know that Storm Lake had good quality barrels as well as Bar-Sto. I just heard too many issues with feeding and proper fit.

Hey Scot,

You said "A Couple of 9MM Springfields"? Did you get another? Springfield is an addicting habbit. I'm due for a trip up to see Mom and Dad in a month or so. Let's plan a shooting trip.

I have and XD9 Tactical, according to the site I can change the barrel to a .40 or 357 mag? Does the clip have to be changed as well? If so, I would be better off buying a used gun....

Doubt it's 357mag. Try 357sig.

Sorry...meant Sig. I would love a .22 conversion to save money on the range. However, don't know if they have one? I am in NJ and EVERYTHING is illegal...so you either have to go to the range and pay through the nose or don't practice shooting.

I'm not sure if I understand your question, but in NJ, from what I understand, you simply can not go anywhere and just shoot. Especially a rifle or handgun. there are some "free" outdoor ranges where you can shoot a .22 and shot guns but that's about it.

All the ranges I have been to you have to pay for the ammo at the range and can not use your own. However, there is one outdoor range I may join that lets you bring your own ammo. I just purchased a case (500) 9MM luger 115 grain for $109. That's the cheapest I can find in my area. Also, does anyone know if I can purchase ammo in PA and bring it into NJ? Is that legal?

Also, anyone from the S.Jersey area know where to get 30-06 managed recoil (125 Gr)? I want to use it at the range but can't find it ANYWHERE!
