Springfield Armory 187m .22 HELP

I recently came across this old well used SA rifle in a pawn shop for $99.
I haven't seen one like this and there seems to be a little difference in this one and the ones I have been able to find on the web. Most that I have seen on the web say Springfield only and manufactured by Savage. The one in the shop is stamped Springfield Armory on the top near center of the barrel. The rifle seems to be mechanically sound. The stock could be refinished as it has no chips or cracks. Most of the bluing or whatever it's last finish was is pretty much gone. No rust. Anyhow, my question is....is there any significance in the way the barrel is labeled? Is this a common model? I cannot find any info on it at all.

Thanks for the time!

Exclamation

These rifles are made by the old Springfield company, once part of Savage/Springfield/Stevens. NO connection with the current Springfield Armory.

I have an old Springfield Model 87A - earlier variant of your rifle.

No idea for the barrel marking. Never seen one like that.
