XD 45ACP To buy or Not to buy

I am looking at a used but in mint condition XD 45ACP, it comes with the box and all the XD goodies, it also has 2 extra mags and a mag holster in a factory plastic case, the gun it self has the Tru Glo fiber optic sites. I think I can get it for 600.00. Is this as good a deal as I think it is? Any comments are welcome and appreciated. Thanks...Steve

600 is to high , you can get it cheeper new i believe

Shop around, but when I was looking for a pistol I also looked at the XD. I personally like the M&P better. Give one of those a shot and see if you agree...

I have seen them new here in Ohio for anywhere from 450-600. I have one of the first ones they produced for "dealers" only. I hardly ever shoot it. To get an XD to shoot SWC's you have to do alot of load experimenting. I gave up on mine shooting SWC's. My own opinion, if I had it to do all over again, knowing what I know now, I wouldn't have bought mine. When I shoot 45 I always use my G30 or S&W 4506.

funny- seeing the original posters location, my 4506 is an old LE pistol from the Tulsa Co Sheriff. Pretty neat laser engraved star and id on the slide.

Funny same with me, I went to the gun store to buy a XD and after holding them both went home with a S&W M&P 40 compact. love it.

you actually held it before making the decision .
so many people forget that.

but the original poster did not say weather he has a springfield or a glock or a SW hand so we can only make guesses based on price not performance.
everyone has their own experience but they are irrelevant to the user because his hand is not ours .

when it comes to reliability springfield is a great weapons company.

but in the end you can get one new for less

Too high...

...until you consider cost of additional items.

Then, it appears to be a reasonable deal...

...one that I would act on if it were available here.

If you feel uncomfortable about the price then offer $550...

...and you'd still get a good deal if he accepts $575.

Also, you didn't mention which model of XD 45ACP it is...

...and the type of finish it has.

Those two items can help justify price being asked...

...or sustain a lower offer price.

Look closely at the features an XD offers, and the benefit of those features,...

...and you'll quickly see why so many of them are sold.

As I, and several others, said in the general handgun forum. That is about $200 too high for a used XD.

The price is to High for a used XD-45. I paid less than $600 for mine new. It shoots any thing I feed it including semi-Wad cutters. When it went to the range the first time I rapid fired a magazine of mixed rounds, and it fired all 13 rounds with out a hick-up
