???? "....is not a member of any public groups."

Does anyone know what this is all about? In each member's profile there is a line that says, "...is not a member of any public groups."

However, I've not found anyone who has their memberships listed. The question is what public groups are g&g administrators referring to?

Another new feature that doesn't do anything.

Exclamation A possible example . . .

Over on RFC, there's an option in the Profile for indicating whether the person is a member of the NRA or not. If you click the 'yes' bubble, you get a nifty little NRA icon next to your name.

Just a thought . . . sand in the wind . . .

Question I'm still looking for the answer...

Well...it seems strange that it's worded ,"...is not a member of...".

It would seem more logical to say that a member "Is a member of, ...etc."

The way the statement is worded makes it sound like we've been checked out by ??? for subversive memberships in this or that organization and have been declared free and clear of memberships in them.

Guess I'm a little paranoid but why even have this statement if it has no real meaning.

Now on the other hand, if we're members of organizations, and wish to list them, this could be useful. For example, I'm a member of Rotary Intertnational, The Benevolent Brotherhood of Elks Organization, United States Tennis Association, a religious denomination, AARP, and a few more, but I doubt if that's the purpose of the phrase which is listed.

Or...is this something that Chris and Jesse have overlooked or haven't had time to deal with, but have something in mind for it's use later?

Guess I'll have to quit reading the "fine print" of Guns and Game and get back to posting, regardless of "which memberships I'm not a member of." :right:

I would go with the "Haven't had time to deal with" reason.

It just sounds more logical to me.
