thread locking

In the event a thread gets locked, could a moderator leave a reason why, so we don't keep repeating the same thing over and over and keep getting threads locked. I have seen a few threads get locked recently and have no reason why, and a couple that was kind of obvious.

So, if the mod or admin who locks the thread could just explain why its being locked and then maybe we won't repeat the same mistake again to cause more threads to get locked.

Just an idea

I haven't been here loong enough to see this, but I have noticed some of my posts need to be reviewed by a moderator first before it is posted.

Is there a moderator list that we could have to pm them to ask maybe?

Yes, to help prevent spam. After I think 15 post it will not happen anymore. Unless you post things or items not allowed.

tlarkin has a good point.

I've noticed a couple threads that were locked that I was somewhat unsure as to why it was locked and no mod comment.

Due to this being "The Friendliest Gun Forum on the Internet", I think it's a polite thing to let us non-mods know why things are being done the way they are.

Thanks all!
