Kinda--it addresses questions of interest to buckskinners--from period firearms to recipes, to field gear and wood craft techniques used by long hunters and trappers prior to about 1840.

Lot's of illustrations, They're made up of articles explaining how certain things are or can be done, with how to do it a major theme. It even has intructions for how to make clothing, moccasins etc, and tanning hides and traps, etc.
