I'd go with two Colt 1911's, with plenty of extra magazines. After that, I'd have two Remington 870's with those Knoxx Sidewinder 10-round drums loaded up with 1 oz. slugs and about 5 drums for each. I'd also have a Smith & Wesson 686. Those would be in case my 7 Mag doesn't hold them off from a distance.

Yeah but those drums would weigh you down.

The more heavy ammo and guns you carry, the easier it is for the zombies to run you down, that is why I went with the AR-15.

No double barrel wouldn't work. If you've got 10 zombies coming out and the ability to only fire 2 rounds at a time, your screwed. No, maybe a Saiga 12 with an 8-10 round mag. Atleast a Mossberg 500 with 7+1. And SKS is right, an AR/AK with 6-10 mags on you, and a pack with another 12 would do.

Druganov SVD. Packs the punch of the Mosin, but has 10 rd magazines and a scope.

I'm going to have to settle for my 91/30 or CETME (if I ever get it workin' right) and my G27 for backup if they get in too close. With the GLOCK, I can buy G22 15 rd mags and Schearer 29 rd mags with a +2 baseplate for a total of 31 rds. I'm accurate enough for headshots out to 20-25 yards with it.

A semi-auto rifle in a mid-range caliber (.223, .308, 7.62x54R, etc.) with a bunch of 10+ round magazines is your best bet in a zombie invasion... and the Zombie Survival Guide agrees with me.

Full-auto = bad.
As mentioned in the Zombie Survival Guide, you want to be making precise one-shot, one-kills to the head. Full auto is just a waste of ammo. So are explosives, as you need to destroy the brain and grenades or other explosives that don't incorporate severe incendiary compounds are not going to eliminate the threat.

Go on eBay and pick up a copy of the Guide, I finished it a few weeks back and use it as bedtime reading every so often to stay current.

i was under the impression that you had to literally blow their head off. if it's just put one in their head AR-15 would be a good choice with 5 of the 90 rounders
