Officially it would be:
Rifle, Pelosi model1, Feinboxer.
We don't talk about it here in the PRK, it's pretty embarrassing.

after 6 years in the military i hate anything in the m-16 family. while accurate, they're too finicky. you have to clean them way too much, and i don't like the possibility of catastrophic failures in the upper receiver.
i'll take the ruger mini 14. same bullet, but an open bolt designed after the M-14. too reliable for it's own good.
secondary is a mossberg 500 12 gauge.
side arm is a .40 Glock 22.
i like em' simple, and very reliable.

We all need to be prepared for the zombie invasion! | Those are very good guns for now! but u should really be having a double or a single barrel shotgun. there not that many part on a double barrel to break off! i don't know how many part the ar 15 has, but those parts are gunna wear off pretty soon and i dont thinks there gunna be replacements for them in a (shtf/wrol/zombie apocalypse)! BUt the one gun i reccomend is an ak 47 it last a long time! u dont have to clean it that often, maybe in a few months u will start having jams? for side arms i would say a glock 22 40. sw. It has stopping power and fairly low recoil

I know you guys wont believe me when i tell you, but the best guns (in my opinion) are .22lrs for zombies.
firsts first, why must you take a shot on a zombie from 500 yards away? it wont do any harm since zombies cant use guns.
second; a .22lr will destroy the brain of a zombie, and if you make a body shot the lack of penetration will work in your favor. This is my theory, a zombie does not die from lack of blood loss, so a round .22lr round stuck in a zombies arm will make it hard for him/her/ to move his arm more than a hole.
third; the rounds are extremely small and light, not to mention inexpensive.
fourth; the gun has almost no reoil, so a semi automatic will be very easy to shoot.
as for 'what is the best .22lr for zombies?' i would go for one of two choices
the ruger 10/22- light, reliable and holds a ten round magazine.
or the browning .22lr hunting pistol with red dot sights- its compact and is very easy to shoot.
its basically a decision of what type of gun you like to shoot more, a .rifle or a pistol.

A Calico pistol or Carbine, with 100 rounds per mag, is whatcha need. Anything less than 100 rounds per mag is farting into the wind.

I would like the unit that was in The Fifth Element. Too bad that little piece of machinery doesn't exist. It had a flame thrower on it too. Are you kidding me!!! Zombiekabob!

My favorite genre is horror. Zombies have always struck a chord with me mainly because they represent humanity at their lowest point. Mindless violence and chaos.
Id have to go with a couple of Robot Sentinels, as seen in the film ALIENS. And barricade myself as well.

so far the m1 garand postee is the most realitic. id go with the sks myself. cheap, reliable, built in bayonet on almost every model, can be customized a million ways, 7.62x39 so its not over kill, and its semi auto. .22 pistol for a sidearm(or cz75 if you want more power, im just thinking of conserving space) and a crowbar for melee

Oh boy, who started this?
Hmm... It all depends on the environment you're in. If you live in an open area, obviously you will need something capable of long-range fire. If you're in an urban setting (and you aren't already screwed) you will want close-to-mid range.
For me, I'd go...
- Bushmaster .308 with a 16" barrel on a single-point sling, all decked out in Flat Dark Earth/Tan Bearcoat (everything needs a personal touch ), a 6-position stock, and plenty of 20 rd mags. Also a nice low-power scope, maybe a scope/holo-sight combo. Of course, I will become thoroughly familiar with it prior to any infection spreading. ("Breaking news: Horrible virus discovered, turns people to zombies; it is contained though." "OK, time to go to the range!")
- Now that I think about it, I might go with Nater on this, only because I believe the inner workings of the Mini-14 are simpler than an AR-pattern rifle... Ruger Mini-14 with some collapsible or folding stock, decked out in Tan Bearcoat, with a low-power scope on it - 2.5 or 3x, maybe. Still plenty of mags. I may still go with the Bushmaster for the bayonet lug; that's a good selling point even in the Zombie Apocalypse!! In which case, I would have a bayonet on the end pretty much at all times.
- Para USA P14-45 with Tan Bearcoat, Tan G10 Golfball grips, Novak 3-dot sights, in a tan Blackhawk SERPA lvl 2 leg holster and plenty of mags.
- KA-BAR D2 Extreme (KA-BAR #1282) serrated knife in a Tan glass-filled nylon sheath, either on a MOLLE vest Spec Ops-style or on a left side drop leg platform, not sure which.
- KA-BAR Short USA (KA-BAR #1261) serrated knife lashed to right ankle, as a last-ditch back-up.
- Remington 870 6+1 Synthetic w/ pistol grip, 18 1/2" barrel, with Tan Bearcoat, in a Tan shotgun scabbard close at hand in whatever building I'm staying in, or wherever the .308 or Mini is inconvenient. The scabbard would be covered in MOLLE webbing so i could throw a bunch of MOLLE-compatible shell holders on it, and also a section of my MOLLE vest would have the same.
No, the KA-BARs aren't "zombie guns," but worth noting I think.
That's just off the top of my head - I would definitely research everything before buying, and be thoroughly familiar with each one. Thanks for reading my thoughts here.
EDIT: Hey guys, scratch that 870... THIS bad boy in Tan Bearcoat: CLICK. I'm gonna need some customized or custom-made scabbard for this. I really love the idea of one tube being loaded with 00 buck and the other slugs, or one 00buck and the other birdshot, as there is a thumb-operated selector switch to go back and forth between tubes....mix it up.

meh, Any gun is going to wear out or break eventually. I wouldnt be limiting my firepower to a double barrel shotgun because Im so concerned my AR15 is such a delicate toy lol. Or choosing a revolver over my Sig pistol or Glock for that matter because its "simpler or less moving parts"
btw my Glock 19 has been dropped (purposely in training) onto the hard ground at least 9 times from shoulder height without any problems what so ever. And I am also fully confident that if I went outside right now and skipped it across the parking lot it would still be fine.
During my last training class, my AR15 has been run red hot, dragged through mud and dust, banged around off of barricades and the ground, snagged on equipment, and I went through 1,500 rounds in two days with one cleaning about 600 rounds into the the class.
0 malfunctions, 0 parts breakage. No wear afterwords.
My barrel and bolt carrier are still good for another 12,000 rounds at least before I might consider replacing them. If your able to shoot that many rounds at zombies (let alone have that ammo with you and survive that many zombie encounters) i think your gun will probably outlast most you when the dead rise lol.
(Not to mention I can carry at least 3 times easily the amount of ammo with my AR vs my 870 for the same weight)
Guns like these are not show/collectors pieces they are work pieces designed for abuse and fighting and they will take a lot more than you think they will.
