mine matches mooseman's except for the geiger counter and chem/bio suit. But they're on the list, wolf creek nuc plant is 30 miles away!

I have the basic pack gear, camping gear, six months of food, one month of potable water stored, major medical kit, guns, ammo, BO vehicle . . . I'm set.

Whoops . . . don't have my foil-lined beany yet.

While ready to bugout if needed, I really plan to stay in place if possible.

The big kits are cool, I have one myself..
But say you were out and about and the SHTF..
And access to your house was cut off and you didn't have your big bag of help..

I carry 2 firearms my Beretta 96D and my Beretta .25 (with about 100 rds each) in my vehicle at all times..I also have 2 gals. of water and 4 MRE's (need to eat them they're getting old) and of course a Leatherman and 2 emergency blankets. I also have a hand cranked radio flashlight.

This is just a small kit for "just in case".

My big kit is in two easily transported Mountain Climbing Backpacks..one for Jr. and one for me.
His is full of mostly food and medical supplies..Mine is full of ammo and survival gear.

In situations under duress, you might not be able to "stay" at your Alamo very long..I try to keep everything mobile.

I even have a ..I hate to say this..a "device" which will render my firearms useless if I have to bug out and leave some of them behind...its big and it cuts through just about anything..

It's interesting to me that in the lists of most I don't see bullet prof vests or flak jackets at the least.
I have 2 flak vests which I have inserted steel plates in to help stop stray metal from harming my son or myself...they are a little heavy but that won't matter when I really need them...and my Son's life is worth way more than the 35 bucks I paid for the Vest. I would love to have one of the BUllet proof Israeli youth models for him..kinda expensive unfortunately..

Cheaper than Dirt has these Solar Panels w/ accessories to power almost anything..I'm very interested in those.

But of course I would fight/claw/trespass/commit sins/alienate/ridicule/beat my way back to my main stash..

I just need to get a front bumper like the guys on Simon & Simon had on their Dodge Power Wagon.

I have about as much as your average fur trapper had. My home is my base and I don't envision bugging out. I have emergency weather food and fire wood for the winter.

I've got a bullet proof vest, guns and ammo but lack many of the items mentioned.

If anyone needs a bullet proof vest call or go by your LEO departments and see if they have any thats been replaced. They may be a little worn looking but there still good...A.H

The gas mask is useless without a warning system,by the time you realise you need it your dead.A helicopter is a definite advantage on your check out list,I know this for sure.
