Bravo30 was also banned at one of the other boards I go on. This is a very friendly board and I'm glad action has been taken to keep it that way.

I found his comments to be sensational and have no merit. He seemed to me to be an example of the kind of person that we keep guns to protect ourselves against. It was certainly instructive in that it cofirms that they are out there. He seemed to be bragging about what he planned to do in the case of an emergency, rather than starting a constructive discussion about emergency preparedness.

It disturbs me to see posts about any kind of illegal activity or illegal gun modifications. This includes quick and dirty silencers or murdering your fellow man for his Spaghettios!

Wake up billy! When 'push' comes to 'shove' the majority will be doing the 'shoving' kinda like a herd o buffalo headed for a precepiece or lemmings to the sea instead of an individual or group of indiviuals breaking free and 'going their own way' the majority, in a blind panic, will trample the individualests in their rush for the safety of the cliff/sea. I think Goethe said it best when it comes to humankind; he was, of course refering to the German people and not humanity as a whole but I think his description fits the human race as a whole also.
I have often felt bitter sorrow at the thought of the German people, which is so estimable in the indiviual and so wretched in the generality.

All I can say is horde seeds in your survival equipment. Seeds that grow edibles all year. That way if push does come to shove, you can always plant a garden and grow your own food.

Good Point CI! We've been growing our own veggies for years.

Actually, I hope he picks a much harder target, one that rids the world of him without my ever having to meet him.

Bravo, no offense, but from reading that first post I don't think it will be an issue for you. I understand what you said but have you considered the following: If you have the ability to kill, then you have the ability to protect and preserve.
If you get in a no food, no supplies situation, become a security guard for an honest group that is short handed or labor in the fields for 3 squares and a place to sleep.
If you resort to murder to survive, what are you protecting? By deciding to lower yourself to the lowest level of society you are giving up much more then you would if you died.
Just my opinion, but there it is.

I believe these to be noble words of significant wisdom only bettered by the measure of decency you show in regard for your fellow man, You have taken this thread from its awful conception to a higher place.
God forbid times should ever come upon us when we are reduced to killing our fellow man for his "Sphagettios.
You sir would be welcomed to my camp and given half of my rations.
Regards.

Actually A.H. many species of insects are quite tasty once you get past the western cutures stigma of thinking them nasty. Many types of grubs actually have a taste similiar to cream of chicken soup! Roast grasshoppers (head and legs removed of course) have a taste slightly reminiescint of almonds. (Survival school required us to sample and gather if we wanted to eat) LOL

well i would ..... survival is first and foremost , the laws of nature only apply in my eyes
If you know how to survive...you can never "run out of supplies"...everything you need to survive is in the woods.

Cleaned earthworms aren't bad with some flavoring. Pure protein.

Thank you OZHUNTER62 for those kind words and the welcome. I'm glad to see I'm in good company here.
I've always believed it's not how long you live but HOW you live. A short life lived with principles and a code of honor is worth more than a life that stands for nothing and has no honor in it, however long it may be.
