| I was thinking more of cartridge weapons over .50 inch caliber - the BATFEmen classify them as "Destructive Devices". Ownable if one does the old Fed paperwork and tax game. A buddy up in Alabama has a couple BP cannons. Great fun during Independance Day!! I was all set to build a Tater Gun - but they are now illegal here in Sunny Florida.... danggit, took my fun away..... ![]()

| When it gets to the point a fella cant shoot a cartridge gun, my guess would be a cross bow or long bow, the compound bow's would be around for a time till they broke down. could make a spear thrower and light throwing darts, or go the old fashoned David & Golith sling I heard they havent regulated them yet I suppose they will eventually out law rocks any bigger than a robin's egg and nobody can have a sharp & pointy stick in there possetion, clubs limited to 7# California will have in effect the Assult weapons ban on Knives any bigger than a pareing knife witha stabbing limiter installed and it's serial number would be registerd with the local police................... naturally. |

| I could make my own gun from a piece of car antenna and a mousetrap, but it would suck. |

| I heard about a "shotgun" that was used by the Phillipinos during the Japanese occupation in WWII. It was called a "Four Winds Shotgun." It consisted of a piece of 1" pipe, a screw on cap drilled with a hole, a nail for a firing pin, and a rock or something for a striker. The pipe fits a 12 gauge shot shell, screw on the cap, insert the nail and whack with a rock. Then you steal the enemy's weapons. It was called "four winds" because the four parts could be tossed to the four winds and wouldn't look like a gun. |
