They are gonna continue like they have been and its been successful.For example, think how as you have grown older how you have been more or less forced to become liberal on things that you would have never allowed.Hell, they are winning easy!

I think it does serve a purpose, I think it's more about preparing the mind than anything else. The best thing to have in your favor even if you have no weapons, ammo, food, water or shelter is a sharp mind. I think of it as an exercise in tactical, critical thought. It gives you a chance to mull over a situation and I personally think that's a good idea.

Even though I love Canada (been there) and love Canadians (dated one for awhile

), I wouldn't go there during SHTF as I'm not familiar enough with the lay of the land or the temperament of the people under stressful circumstances.

Some maybe. I've found myself actually becoming more conservative and less tolerant of stupidity as I grow older.

I bet it would have to be really bad for the Federal,State and local governments to totally disentigrate into civil unrest mabe locally in some section the country but Martial law would be called and national Guard units sent in to stabilize the area, I just dont see nationwide un-rest that's byond the capacity of our government entity's to handle. evein if the top management was somehow imcompacitated or worse ther's still enough infastructure at most levels to cope, where would the National Government and State government heads and ther second's and thirds and fourths all congrigate ant the same time and place?
Forien intervention.............. look what happened in Haiti and Somoilia they sent in UN troops to protect folks that they cared about they couldent give two sh#t's about Joe average citizen most countries that had civil wars dident really see any UN intervention till women and kids were killed in massive #'s and talk about genocide. Bosnia? Albania? Myanmar? all little podink countries and they still were given a wide birth buy any forien nations.
No we wont see and Blue helmits anytime soon.
Youd most likely see the Crip's, Bloods, Hells Angles and the Arion brotherHood's Ilk out in force before any forein invaders.

It's not just the big East Coast cities that have locked down gun ownership and possession, follow the news from Knoxville, Tennesee concerning the banning of legally carried guns from public parks. New Orleans already has an ordinance banning carrying handguns in the city under their "Home Rule" laws. And a few Midwestern states don't allow carrying a concealed handgun at all.
We win a battle on the national front, and right in your back yard, you get a stab in the back from your city and state governments.

I agree but we can't do what needs to be done anymore, thats the point. Unless of course you want to sidestep some crazy law.

Not right now, but that's not to say I won't in the future if need be. I think there are alot of other folks here of the same mindset.

Here in NW Arkansas we have already been "invaded" by Mexico......just go to a Wal-Mart on Sunday or drive by Tyson's (chicken processing) at shift change.....
