No one would invade that would be stupid. Remember the chinese army is big but not big enough to occupy the US think about the man power that would require. if they want to take over they will do it economically.

Think about it. Our economy is still struggling. Our congress is very much divided, as is we the people. We're financially strapped. They see some of the people of this country in the streets with signs that show they're not happy with their government for whatever reasons. Our military, some of it anyhow, is busy with Afghanistan and Iraq. Obama has backed away from the defense shield/missiles in Poland and Czechoslovakia. He's also been indecisive in regards to a troop surge in Afghanistan.

These are just a few things the governments of the countries I mentioned and others I didn't that dislike us, have a deep seated hatred for us, want to see us fail, go down, fall off our so-called high horse that some if not all of the countries that hate us feel we've been on.

They may see it, if things continue to go the way they are, or worse, get worse, but they may see it as the perfect time to do and or try something?

Not being paranoid. Just following the original posters orders of "Let the speculations begin". lol

Here's the ONE thing keeping the Chinese out...they know we still have our guns.

The minute our liberal jerkwad congress gets too stupid...we'll have a few million Chinese knocking on California's door...

They'll start there, of course...nobody but crooks have decent guns in Kali, due to the Draconic Gun Laws...Yankees (Illinios/NY/etc) got some screwed up Gun Laws as well...

Once they've got a good foothold in Kali...it's just a matter of time before they head east...the biggest fight will be around Texas & thru the South...

On the upside, the South might be able to become it's own country again

You know them dang Democrats are gonna surrender the North & West...

I think the biggest fights would be the sierra nevadas, rockies and cascade mountain ranges where there are natural breaks in the terrain and you could mount a gurrilla war and use natural cover.

I really don't see any reason to remake a film that isn't even that old.

If they wanted to make a movie about the US being invaded they should make a new movie, not desecrate an old one.

Back in the 70s, a French author created a crapstorm when he wrote a book about poor people from India flooding into Europe and basically destroying it by overloading their governmental system, abusing welfare and taking over politics.

It probably would have made more sense to adapt that novel and redo it in North America with the current Illegals from South of the Border instead of Hindus.

But I doubt anybody in Hollywood has the testicular fortitude to adress that one, despite the fact the book in question is twice as old as John Millius original Red Dawn.

When some idiot on the Imperial Japanese General Staff suggested that an invasion of the United States might be necessary to win the Pacific War, the Admiral responded, "It is impossible to invade the United States. We Americans may be unhappy with our government's policies; we may loathe the perpetual candidate defiling the Oval Office who is incapable of governing; we may hate the Democrats or the Republicans (pick one - or both); we may snarl at each other's ethnic groups. But if some outside force like the ChiComs were to invade this country, all that would be set aside and we'd meet them with all the force, fury, rage and rifles we could muster and keep on shooting until we ran out of ammunition or they ran out of Chinese. As someone that's done military planning, I can tell you that our guns are not keeping the Chinese from invading. That big-ass ocean is.

That is, if you actually believe they would invade. Personally, I don't. I read what they say and see what they do. They're modernizing their military doctrine around the foundation of homeland defense. The Chinese have always put a priority on keeping others out (think Great Wall). Although they are feverishly building military capability, very little of that is intended for power projection away from their territory. If they ever try to invade a modern nation thousands of miles away, it won't be in our lifetimes. They simply don't have the lift (sea or air) to do such a thing...not even close. And will not for an awful long time, if ever.

Those oceans are a HUGE strategic advantage for the United States. HUGE.

Still, it is a good feeling knowing that our population is armed and could repel any enemy on our soil. But unless those Canucks get edgy, I don't think we have much to worry about. Foreign enemies, anyway...

But the ChiComs now are building both types of warships. We have the tremendous advantage of generations of experience with both types, far more than anyone in the world. Experience counts for a great deal. But the willingness to use the ships counts for a lot too. Do you see the current regime in Washington as being willing to use them if things deteriorate to the point that becomes necessary?

The upgrades to the Chinese fleet, at a time when the politicians are talking about serious cuts in weapons procurement like the Joint Strike Fighter, the next-generation fighting vehicles, cutting back the Virginia class attack boats, and suspending the CVN 21 program, is a matter of concern to all Americans. At least, it is for those of us who study history and follow politics.

I basically agree with Patriot - the Chinese are definitely building their military up - but it'll be used initially to make a sweep of the Asia/Pacific sphere. it's what they have wanted for a long time. I see them waiting til we are at the low spot of our economy, unable to carry out our defense agreements, they will take Taiwan. It'll be quick and pretty much bloodless. Korea will be next - finally unified under Chinese rule. Japan may well find it in their best interest to 'join the party'.

We will have to wait and see if The Messiah or his follow-on 'president' will have the grit to stand up to the Chinese int he Pacific, or just let them have it.

Eventually, we will either take the invasion of Hawaii as the beginning of the next World War, or bow down and let them take it.

The next generation will fight that war - we old wardogs will be long in our graves. With Walmart Flowers on our headstones........

what i found.

ok, does any one know the complete prolog that was shown in the beginning of the original Red Dawn??? it told of events leading up to the invasion. crop failures in Russia, and the Soviets threatened to nuke a city if the President did not surrender the country. my problem was that it was in white letters on a light background, very heard to see.
