I agree... but honestly... the east coast is a magnet for conventional and nuke attacks given the military manufacturing and bases... Groton, Colt, S&W, Sikorski, Remington, Winchester, etc... not to mention everything else obvious. Personally... I like the upper midwest. No silos, no real military manufacturers or infastructure... just woods. Nothing to shoot at is where I want to be. Plenty of lakes for fish, deer, etc. ... ideal hiding areas. |

You are right about big cities, military bases, and manufacturing plants located on the east coast. S&W has a plant located not to far from the northern woods in Maine. Thankfully, they only make handcuffs and .22cal/.380acp handguns, but that doesn't meant that they wouldn't be a target. I feel pretty safe here though. Lots of fish, near infinite amounts of whitetail (even with bonus deer permits and multiple seasons, we still can't control the numbers), and lots of places to make shelter and live a peaceful life. |
