I'm sure that you are aware that stealing and murder are always wrong, even in an emergency. In addition, farmers and ranchers are pretty well able to fend for themselves and looters, thieves, or raiders get summarily shot.

It may not be a good survival strategy to plan on thievery from the locals to get you by.
I have never said that I plan to steal anything.. I have said "aquire"... Let me expand on that.. If you were to come across a settlement/camp that has already been attacked or destroyed, would you scrounge around for useful items? What if you came across some hoodlums attacking a family? Would you let them, since murder is wrong and let them take everything from the family, or would you protect the family and take what you need from the attackers?

Hence, I would never kill or steal from people that are trying to survive the humane way, but I will take what I need from the "bad" ones... If I get killed in the process, atleast I died trying and not from starvation or what not..

Realistically none of use can prepare for the absolute worst SHTF scenario.. what I have prepared myself for, is getting out of the area in a hurry and being able to protect myself for a few days until the "bad" ones come out and start looting/maiming/killing the "good" ones.. That is when I will aquire more supplies...

Sorry that I didn't make that more certain.. I would never take or steal from innocent people just trying to survive.. I would however, help anyone on this board or anyone else for that matter that was doing what I would be doing: Surviving in a decent manner... I have no room in my heart for thugs, thieves, bandits, or just "piggy backers"... If you are willing to rebuild then I'm here to help
