In Arkansas you can carry up to a 25cc can of pepper spray with you. The only exception to this is if you are a Correctional Officer in the course of duty (only in the jail) or a LEO in the course of duty (in uniform or such). Only problem I have with pepper spray, the bad guy has a 5-10 second window from the time he gets sprayed to the time he's incapacitated, and it doens't work on 100% everyone. How about a Taser??? Those are legal here for civilian carry.

-sock + soap = weapon -pens -pencil's -stapler = open it up and start thwacking away... -extention cords = cut end open and expose wire's, bad guy comes around corner and WHAMO 110 to body out like a light -hair spray( aqua net) + lighter = nice flame thrower -any combustable arisol can and lighter -bug spray to the eyes or face -kitchen utensils i.e. knives or meat tenderizer (the big hammers not the spice)

| Actually, the spice can work, too, in a pinch. Throw a handful into the bag guy's face - he won't like it, and it'll give you time to get the OTHER meat tenderizer.

There are several books on improvised weaponry and ninjas that will also give you good ideas for home made or improvised weapons. The Kama, or sickle, was a farming impliment, originally, before it became a martial arts weapon. Weighted chains, sword canes, etc... are good choices. Windlass Steelcrafts offers several sword canes, from the modernized type seen in "Batman Begins" to traditional types with hidden Tai Chi or Samurai type swords inside them. The nice thing about medieval weapons is that they make interesting wall decor, and nobody suspects they may be for real in this day and age of non-functional decorative wallhangers. |

a heavey action ugly stick works wonders ( i saw one guy beat the crap outa anouther guy with one). a wrist rocket with a 3/4 oz. ball bearing ( my kids can an do kill birds with these). an lets be honest in a shtf senario cops are not always your friend ( ask people out of katrina or the lady here in atlanta who shot 2 cops an was then killed because the cops used false info from a snitch to enter her home an then lied later)), if i knew ppl were rioting the last thing on my mind would be "dont booby trap the house". in said case anyone coming in my home would not be welcome an subject to some very bad hospitality.
