I would take my M4.

LMT Defender 2000 Lower
LMT Upper Receiver
Noveske Barrel

Because I am over 1,000 miles away from my rifle, I can't do anything clever with the pics because I am training some young eager military minds with my knowledge. Take it in consideration.

Mid Length Barrel for softer recoil and more accurate
5.56 lightens the load of ammo and can still take down game
This one has a free float Vltor CAS V hand guard system
Vltor Flash Hider
Vltor E Mod stock kit for extra batteries, smokes, survival stuff like matches and so on
Tango Down Grip with extra storage for supplies
Eo Tech 512 Holographic sight serves many purposes
Surefire G2 with LED replacement bulb will last forever, super bright, small batteries
MI Rear folding sight
I got the trigger down to about 4LB crisp pull
Vicker Sling will adjust perfectly to any shooter's preference, having a good sling is paramount in survival and Vickers are the best 2 quick detach sling swivels for fast removal if necessary
Dead on accurate and reliable

If there is a better survival gun I'd like to see it

This rifle has a lot of extra storage for any survival need and supplies and will be what I want with me if I need to rough it for a while.

It now has a Vltor MUR upper receiver and Leupold Mark 4 scope on a GG&G mount, but since I don't have pics I can't enter that configuration in the contest.

larmus, just make it a poll so we can vote and comment. Too many entries ? Use multiple poll threads, and then the winners go head to head for final vote. If I'm not mistaken, I count 12 entries. So 2 polls of 6 ??

Oh, and thanks for the favorable comments on the Old AK !! Talk about puttin lead on target !! I traded that Rom drum for a Chinese after those pictures were taken. I have shot 30 rds of 1:1 ball and tracer at night out of it. Brings back the old days !!

Well, I don't see any reason for a vote. But if it humors my Marietta's inferior-in-beauty opponents, I suggest a simple poll. Something like this...

[x] Marietta
[ ] the rest of the losers

Wow, there were some awesome entries in this beauty pageant! And then at the end there were some pretty sweet pics that shoulda been entries. I didn't check in for a few days and kinda missed out on some of the later ones, so compliments to all who entered.

Larmus, you did a great job with this. It is obvious that Guinness drinkers have good ideas practically all of the time!
