***2nd ANNUAL SURVIVAL GUN BEAUTY PAGEANT ***

***2nd ANNUAL SURVIVAL GUN BEAUTY PAGEANT ***
I would like to say thank you again, for everyone who participated last year in the first S.G.B.P. Our winner last year was Mooseman684's far reaching STG-58 FN FAL .308. Who will it be this year let’s find out, shall we.

*** NO FAKE GUNS OR GUNS YOU DONT OWN. ***

What we are looking for is ONE gun from your collection that you would take in a survival situation. This needs to be a weapon that you own, not one that you want or need. Only one entry per-person, that way it is fair to those who only have a few guns.

When you post the picture, give a description of the weapon, i.e. what it is, any modifications done to it, any attachments it has, so on and so forth.
OK! This year I want to see some creativity from you all, let’s try to incorporate some backdrops and other items in with the rifles… some of you were quite clever last year, like Burke’s Famous Amos cookie shot and Seven©’s pop tarts stashed in the butt stock of his rifle, nice addition!

For this section I would like to see:

Assault rifles: any make, model, semi or full auto

Long guns: bolt action, semi-auto, lever action, modern or vintage(be realistic in choice)

Shotguns: break action, bolt action, pump, semi-auto and full auto

I love handguns and think they are integral for survival but they will not count in this section.

This pageant will run from now until Nov. 6th at 12 midnight Arizona standard time.
Then I will compile a list for you to choose your favorites from and then make a poll same as last year with the top six as the contestant finalists. GOOD LUCK!! I hope everyone enjoys this again as much as I do. Thanks again and lets have fun!!!

I'll put a entry up when I get home from work...Should be a rule that the same gun from last year can't be entered again. (maybe?)

If someone chooses to use the same gun, i would hope they make an effort to put some thought into gussy'in up there gun... cuz i think this year there is going to be some good competition with all the new members...

I just dont want to eliminate anyone because they use the same gun again... just pose the gun differently and with more FUN then just on your floor or in a chair, ok everyone!!!

Mossberg 535 Turkey Tactical
31/2" 12G
20" barrel with screw-in chokes
red-dot scope (easily removable, extra battery taped to it)
Realtree camo...a necessity! LOL
5 round shell holder on buttstock
25 round bandoleer (half slug, half 00buck)
realtree sling (real important the gun and sling camo match!)

I would be carrying a rifle as well...my win94 probably. My wife would have a scoped rifle and Hi-Point 995 carbine.

LOL I also put a few important survival items in the pic as well...did ya'll notice my fearsome "survival" knife? LMAO

I took the front pistol grip off...It was only useful with the buttstock removed, and I rarely shoot it that way. It adds bulkiness to the gun IMO (plus, it was black and didn't match the camo! LOL)

Here is my Run and Gun setup, It's a Colt H-bar wearing a EOTech 512 with a EOTech flip to side 3X magnifier. on the handguard is a knights vertical grip. I have it set up with a single point sling that mounts to the tac vest, also set up with mission specific optics / lasers and flash lights.

There lies my dilemma.

I have a little 'something something' I've been putting together.

Should I post now or wait until 11:59pm Nov. 5th Arizona standard time to post?

I'm afraid if I post my entry now, anybody else planning on making an entry would see their submission as futile and not enter. Thus, ruining the contest.

On the other hand, if I wait to make a 'last second entry' I may be accused of sandbagging. Or that the voting process wasn't fair.

Larmus, out of respect to you and the G&G community I may sit this contest out. Being supremely, viably, beautiful is a heavy cross to bear.

Yours truly,
Seven

Looks like it is up to Larmus to accept your submission privately, and keep it under wraps until the final day!

Hmm. A new dilemma or trickeration?

Thrillbilly is my newest buddy.

Did he send the friend request because he is inspired by my forum awesomeness? Or is it trickeration. Does Thrillbilly know what a swell guy I am, and obviously assume since we are buddies now that I want enter? Thus increasing his chance of winning.

Did I mention that mossberg was a Christmas gift from my wife? She saw me drooling over them on the web when they came out....listened to me say which barrel length and camo pattern I liked...went to the gunstore and ordered it for me. LOL I love having a wife who is a gun nut! She was a Cali girl who had never fired a gun when she met me...our second date involved me teaching her how to shoot. She now owns several guns and knows how to shoot all my guns. She also got into hunting and is quite the lil deer slayer! LOL we exchanged guns on our last anniversary...she bought me a MN and I bought her a Marlin 60 carbine.
She's been hinting about a SKS under the tree every since she shot my brother's norinco at our 4th of July get together. LOL

That's quite a roll-out setup there John! I think you have just about everything in that picture!

Simple country boys don't use words like Machiavellian. Much less spell it right.

You're a sneaky one, thrillbilly. I've got my eyes on you.
