Call me crazy, but I like the lighter beech stocks better than the walnut.

Nice looking rifle, I am glad to see the prices leveling on these but right now I am collecting the straps and other stuff...
of course I have been bitten with the gun bug pretty bad so I have slowed my Swiss collecting a tad until I get up some of the equipment for building guns...things like AK,CETME and G3 and Fal STG58 and in between I have 5 swiss I am slowly working on...I got my k31 project rifle mechanically together but it awaits coating and a stock..

That came out pretty dang nice. I need one more K, a light beech I can refinish in shellac. Everyone needs at least one glossy mil-surp.

I think the milsurplus bug has bitten me. I am now looking into K31's.

I'll be scoping my Swiss Miss next week and I'll post pictures as soon as I do.
I am going with one of latigo's clamp on scope mounts.
The rings are going to be Millet brand steel medium height windage adjustable.
And the scope will be a Bushnell Trophy with BDC reticle.
I'm going to site it in for at least 200 yards to start, then see if I can get out to 500 after that.Wish me luck.

The Beech stocks are very nice if you get a good one. I have 13 K31s and the Walnut stocks have all been in better condition than the average Beech. A well refinished Beech stock is beautiful especially if it has a lot of figure.
