K-31, m1911, m44

I was expeimenting with the screws on the barrel bands and receiver screw torque on my Swiss rifles to see if loosening or tightening the screws made any difference. I think it made differences in the poi on the targets. I started out on the 50m range shooting at 2'' dots, using GP11 on the first four targets. The remaining targets to the far right were Priva Patizan and a couple of reloads.

I threw the M44 in just for slitz and giggles. Bulgarian LB was all over the place, then the yellow tips started out fine, but went verticle with the last of 5 rds. going off of the paper altogether.

I packed up and moved to the 100m and placed two 3 1/4'' targets and gave each target five rounds of GP11 & 174SPBT Priva Partizan. The sixty year old K-31 liked GP11 and the ninety-five year old M1911 did its best with the Priva Partizan. Each five round group had a flier opening things uo a bit, but between my old eyes and the marauding Japanese beetles landing on my glasses and traveling down my shirt, I think we did alright.
