Its looking very good so far for the new 1911 side mount. The prototype is being swapped around between a number of rifles to make sure its universal for those types.
Dad will be firing 15 to 20 rounds from each rifle, but its probably a waste of ammunition. The mount is solid with no flex at all. He tried to flex it
but the steel and hookups are so solid that it looks like this one is passing the stress test.
There were a lot of approaches and ideas over the past 5 years (probably more), but this one looks like the final prototype. There will be a
patent applied for as soon as the field tests are finished.

He's been doing this for 50 years or more and you can collect a lot of schtuff in 50 years, and ammo, reloading components and any and all magazines are never sold or traded by any of us here.
I guess it wouldn't be a bad idea to have a brother to share in all the expenses. Tha't about all there is since I inherited the entire armoury and recording studio three years ago.

ya know, i think it would be worth the expenses just to be able to shoot with you guys and be able to absorb your knowledge of the swiss rifles. keep up the good work.
Here's where we are Frenchy.
The field tests were successful with the exception of a mount being shipped to czechmauseritis to try on a 96/11. We should have that in another week or so.
The difference in POI between k11's was no more than 1/2" from rifle to rifle without changing scope settings.
Without changing scope settings from the k11's switching to the 1911s, the POI was 3" left and 3" low. An easy correction in the scope.
Sorry, ... no photos of the left side yet. The patent application paperwork will happen monday. One we have it applied for I'll post phtos of the whole works.
