The Taurus debate continues to rage on, across the gun forums!! Everytime I buy a firearm, I take it home, take it apart, clean and lubricate before firing. With a S&W, Colt, or Ruger you can re-assemble and your good to go. With a Taurus, plan on a few hours of work with Flitz and a Dremel to finish the innards. That's my main gripe with Taurus is they look good on the outside, but they reach the price point by not finishing the stuff you don't see.

Inside of my PT911 looks fine to me. I don't recall my PT92 and PT22 having any rough spots on the insides either.

REPLY: Well, seven months later and no action from Taurus! Their Customer Relation Stinks. They are procrastinating on sending me a replacement and claim they are not recieving faxes from my FFL dealer here in cal. so they may mail out the revolver!

Maybe the problem is you FFL holder, and not Taurus, then.

Roger | UPDATE: Sept 2008,,
Well, well, Taurus is replacing my 357 with a 44 tracker five shot. It looks like a great piece! This was their last reply to the Miami BBB. If it weren't for the BBB doing their job in forcing Taurus for a solution, I think I would never see this happen.I did thank both Taurus and especially the Miami BBB. Their case is closed.

Rod | I had the same problem with Taurus. They asked my dealer to fax a copy of his license after he already included it with the initial shipment.
They asked 3 separate times for him to fax a copy. He finally got to speak to a supervisor who found all 3 copies that he had faxed. They are apparently understaffed and very unorganized. And then they still took 2 weeks to ship the gun back after being repaired. I hardly had a problem with their guns, but the lousy CS finally made me sell all 5 Taurus'.

Rod | UPDATE: Sept 11,2008---My Tracker finally arrived at my local dealers shop and they had to make three calls and three faxes. In addition Taurus forgot to fax page two of two(the one with the Cal DOJ number) to my dealer. The pistol was almost sent back to them as by law they cannot retain it longer than 24 hours without dicumentation. I paid 50plus 25 for the DROSS. Waiting period is ten days along with three ID,s, proof of a safe and either a safety certificate or MIL ID. If the pistol shoots and the qualty is as good as it looks, it should be a winner! Will keep you posted on it's accuracy and performance!

What a mistake,After some research ( don't believe every thing you read in the gun magazines)I decided on the PT908. I went to the range, with several brands of 9MM ammo,Winchester,Remington,MagTech. etc. I tried to shoot this brand new gun and could only get it to fire ,no more than three rounds, before I jamed,(failure to extract)
I returned to the gun shop ,from which I purchaced it,and was told .I needed to return it to the repair shop in Miami Fla. I shipped it to Miami, and about six weeks later it was returned to me,with a letter discribing, the work that was performed. later that week at the range again ,I tried to shoot the PT908 again! SAME PROBLEM. Shipped it back to Miami,They repaired it,and shipped it back to me ,again with a letter explaining the repairs that were made,AGAIN I tried to shoot this boat anchor, and again ,Failure to extract, This gun was advertized as a Compact Combat Auto!
needless to say that piece of junk was sold at a great loss! With the money I got from selling the Taurus,I bought a Glock 23,I have fired somewhere around 7000 rounds through the 23,and never had a FTF, FTE, or smoke stack! I'll never buy another Taurus product again! I know some of you love your Taurus handguns.
Some people swear by them ! I swear at them! | I heard a saying, once..."If you insist on doing what you always do, you'll get the results, you always got". My PT 24/7 Pro in .45, had a feeding/stovepipe issue. It turned out I was shootin ammo not heavy enough. I changed to 230-Grain....and no more problem. 230-grain has enough pazzaz, to enable to spring to function as it should. Kicks just a bit....but with a little practice, I can pretty much hit where I point. Not bashin, or anything.....just adding my .02.

Probably didn't have any bullets in the house.
