Well here's a picture of a target with fifty rounds of my .38 special DEWC reloads. And keep in mind, this is from a nineteen year old gun that gets shot regularly.

I have owned two Taurus pistols and a revolver. The revolver was about what you would expect. It was very accurate for a 2" barrel - I was pleased with it. The pistols never had any major functional issues, but the PT945 would not hit the broad side of a barn. The funny thing is that I shot another guy's PT945 last month at the range and it was fairly accurate. I guess it is luck of the draw. The 24/7 was ok I guess, but I just didn't like the way it shot.

I no longer own any of them though. I do sell guns - well at least the ones I don't like.

Sorry, but after having so many in to work on over the years, I just won't bet my life on one...Period.
Taurus offers a lifetime warranty. I called to check on what the deal was with my new 1911 (which is FAR nicer than any other 1911 in the $500 price range), and they said that if I EVER had any problem with this gun, send it back to them and they will repair or replace FREE OF CHARGE.

I certainly yeild to your experience as a smith, and your criticism of the product line they offer is well considered. However, I'm wondering if you're aware that Taurus is actually manufacturing their new premium line in the US (at the Shot Show, the president of North American operations for Taurus showed us quite a bit of stuff about the new generation of Taurus, and it was fairly extensive). All due respect, you may want to consider cutting them some slack with the new guns...

Scot Van thanks for that great bit of information, I don't own a Taurus, but I was interested in the Compact Millennium Pro for a better concealed carry weapon.
I'm waiting to see if they will add a 40 SW to this line, because thats my prefered caliber. A.H

I have a PT99, 6+ years and no malfunctions, even w/ crappy ammo.
Had a 608 in .357/.38, worked flawlessly until the threat of starvation forced me to sell (I was the college kid who bought a pistol when everyone else bought food....)
Buddy has a PT24/7 in 9mm, his only issue is that he didn't wait and buy the Pro.
As soon as I can find a way to float the price tag under the radar, I'm looking at a 24/7 Pro in .40....gotta keep that one quiet, though, I've already spent this year's "allowance"

As other, wiser folks have said, it's not a Ruger/Beretta/S&W, but neither is the price tag.

I've been intermittently interested in a few Taurus products over the years, but the one that currently has my attention is the 4410 revolver that can shoot 410 and 45 Colt ammo.

Been thinking about one of those myself. I have looked at one up-close, but have not shoot it. I have read good reviews of it. As I said earlier, my issues are not with the revolvers, just the pistols. And those issues are admitidly personal opinion.

Of my 7 semiauto pistols my fav is the Taurus PT92 so I am not a Taurus basher. I have not had to deal with Taurus cust service. However I have delt with S&W cust service and they paid shipping and repaired their pistol for free. I have heard that Taurus doesn't pay for shipping. Dunno if that is the case but if Taurus does not cover shipping then it is no free IMO. Free means free. Anybody know if Taurus pays shipping?

Now, now....I had a Hi-Point once. Never could get the POS to work. But for any revolver to work for 19 years of pretty constant shooting, at least I think it's semi-impressive. The only thing was at 19 years old, a crane screw came loose. A little Lok-Tite, and I hope it's good for another twenty.

Funny you say that, BRG3...I picked up one at a local gunshop about three weeks ago for just over $300 bucks. BEAUTIFULLY made, and pretty cool item, too. This is what I got for my wife to keep in her nightstand. She's strong, but the gun really behaves anyway.

If I saw one for barely over $300, the card would be out and the NICS underway without a second thought. Assuming it was the 6" version.

Yep. And the price meant I got a new toy without the wife hollering too loudly (kidding...she NEVER does that...absolutely NEVER EVER...sorry, sweetheart...). HA!!!!

I just told her it was for her (shhhhh)!

Now if they would only produce the 10mm revolver they showed a few years back, I would buy another one. I liked the 44 Mag that I had a few years back.

I liked the Taurus 44 Mag I used to have. If they would come out with the 10mm revolver they were showing before, I would buy one in a heartbeat.

I love my 7 shot, ported 4" barrel, .357mag taurus revolver (Mine main carry piece)

The only problem I have ever had with it, is the grips are kinda cheap (but very comfortable) and getting a replacement set has proven near impossible.

But six inch barrel is cool. Since I live in the Retardo land called Illinois I can't carry the darned thing. So it's a range revolver. Though I have taken it deer hunting in case my rifle screwed up.

The millinium Pro line has a model called the PT140. It's a 40 cal. I have the PT145 (45 cal). It has turned out to be quite the shooter. I am very happy with it. It just dosn't like Wolf ammo to well.

The Millinium Pro 9 mil is my favorite carry gun. I have run a thousand plus rounds thru it with no problems. It shoots great, I hit what I shoot at, and no parts have fallen off. I carry the .45/.410 Judge (4410) 6 1/2 “ Blued ($385 incl. tax) in my car and have shot everything thru it that it will eat, including 00 buck and Corbon +P JHP ammo. I like my Taurus's and would not hesitate to try another pistol or revolver.
