I don't know why anybody would want to punish themselves with a lightweight .44 magnum. I like big HEAVY guns for big calibers.

Taurus Guns SUCK...And the liteweight Titaniums have poor internal machining and they will lockup due to parts jamming internally.
I have worked on too many of them over the years, and their customer service is worse yet as some others will tell you.
On the other side of the coin, why support a country that sells guns to US but refuses to let their citizens own them ?
Buy American !

To each his own I guess. My 22 year old Taurus model 66 .357 magnum is still the best shooting revolver I own. And did you ever hear of free enterprise? In my ownership of 22 years I have had one spring get a kink, and the crane screw came loose after TWENTY years of some warp speed punishing handloads. So I have never had to deal with their customer service except to order the spring, and the shipping cost more than the spring did! A little loktite fixed the other problem. To me the best customer service.....is never needing customer service.

The Ruger Redhawk 44mag is stainless or blued and variety of barrel sizes, it is a heavy gun and from personal experience I love it, the recoil is surprisingly mild.

Nothing wrong with the Ultralite, its a good shooter, and is of good quality. However, it may be a little hard on the hands with stout loads.

I heard good reports on these guns is all I can say. As far as the lock up problem, all or most Titaniums cyls. swell up when they get hot after allot of quick firing, my friends high dollar S&W does it and has to have the extractor man handled to get cases out. But any gunsmith would know that.
