Lightbulb PT1911-1B1, Range report

Picked up a Fobus holster today. It worked very nicely, fits perfect with the rail.

First time out- I used Wolf, ? Brass, and winchester, all 230 grain FMJ. The wolf ammo is lightly loaded, but all shot great. The weapon worked flawlessly. I have shot a lot of guns, but this one really shoots well.

The sights need some getting used to as it shoots 6" low with my normal sight picture. From a weaver stance at seven yards the groupings were impressive. The shots were all consistently grouped.

The gun far exceeds my level of shooting but even at 20 yrds I was hitting a 4"x4" spinning plate. (I normally use the spinner target for the 22)

I shot about a 100 rnds this afternoon not one single problem. I am really impressed with this gun. What a great deal.

Did you really put Wolf ammo in your 1911??? SHAME. The only thing I've ever had that liked Wolf ammo is my AK47, course you could put a round in with a handful of mud and sand and it would still fire all day long. LOL. I would try and stay away from Wolf, unless you really like to clean your gun a lot, and don't mind it jamming.

Congratulations on finding a great gun though! I am very happy with my Taurus as well.

I wanted to see how it handled the cheap stuff. (as a test) But your right, it is dirty. I've had some very expensive guns that would only fire specific handloads. Which got really frustrating prior to high volume handloading. That was not my hope for the gun. I'm happy with the results.

If you don't mind me asking, what did you have to pay for it?

I paid $529.00 NIB, came with 2 mags, brush, allen wrench/key chains (2), and a padded case.
