| 8-shot speedloaders I just bought a Taurus Model .17C at a gunshow and was looking around for some speedloaders. It's an 8-shot and I was wondering if anybody had ever seen an 8-shot speedloader for a .17 or if you thought that a speedloader for a .22 or something similar would work ok??? |

| I haven't seen any speedloader in 8-shot for the .17 HMR. However, since the Hornaday Magnum Rimfire is a necked-down version of the .22 Magnum case, it may very well fit a speedloader for .22s. After all, the rear section of the shell with the primer and all is the same size as a .22, I don't see why it shouldn't fit into a speedloader for .22s, since the majority of the round just hangs out of the speedloader, anyway. I'd call up a local store and ask them if they have speedloaders for .22s available, then bring in the .17 HMR and check the fit before ordering an 8-round. - Coeloptera |
