605 barrel question

My girlfriend just got a used 605 2" .357 5 shot. Well, I got to lookin at it and noticed the barrel is canted about 1 degree to the right. It does shoot pretty straight, she can hit standard clays at 25yrds in s/a. I called Taurus up and they want me to send it in for 5 to 6 weeks. Needless to say, I would like to avoid that. It has fixed sights, is this how it was sighted in? If I try turning it straight myself, will the barrel loosen up? Or should I just not fix it if it's not broken.
