i like revolvers i had a rossi.44 man that was a nice gun. the best thing about a revolver is it won't jam and it's 100% certain to go off unless you have bad ammo. now sometimes the empty casesings will not just fall out(cci aluminum ones ) but thats when the ejector come in. but other than that you can't beat a revolver.

In the summer months I carry a Tuarus model 605 .357 5 shot. It's easy to conceal and it shoots nice. I also carry my Bersa .380 sometimes in the summer just for a change. I will always have a warm place in my heart for revolvers. It just wouldn't have had the same effect if "Dirty Harry" would have pulled out a Glock and said "Do you feel lucky".

I love revolvers too! I had an automatic but sold it and came back to my snub nose 38.

The only revolver that I own is a Rossi .38 snub. Five shooter.

SCGirl. That is one of the reason I don't buy light weight pistols. It is just not balance in my opinion. We went target shooting 2 weeks ago. I shot my friends .40 Caliber Glock and I felt the same thing about the recoil, the pistol just did not have enough weight to compensate the recoil. That is why my favorite pistol is the 1911.

I bought a Taurus 1911 with the crimson trace laser grips...I shot it once and handed it right over to my husband. I was a month or two into shooting, so fairly new, and it scared the heck out of me. I guess i was more surprised, but I was so used to firing the PT111 or my husband 92FS, that I didn't think beware of recoil.

Seven months into shooting, I am ready to try it again. I think I am more prepared for the recoil, and definitely ready for it when it happens. I do want a higher caliber pistol, so I have been looking at the 100SS from Taurus which is a .40 calliber. Its alng the same lines as the 92FS, in stainless steel. Being a Harley rider, I am all for chrome! LOL

SC: I think if I had bought the revolver first, I may not have liked it, but comparing it to my .380, which I think has a wee bit more recoil than my snubbie...it is easier for me to compare. I am no longer a newbie in the world of guns. I even tried my husband's PT940 and my father-in-laws .45. To me, the revolver was the best.

gotta give the revolver another shot...the only thing is, I REALLY dislike cleaning it when I am done shooting...a heck of a lot more holes to clean!!!!!!! My PT111 is quite easy to clean, and to shoot...I like the simple things in life!

I have to agree with you on that SC, LOL....for my .380 I just take off the slide and spring....everything else is easy to acess for the cleaning!

I have a slight preference to the revolver over automatics, probally cause I shoot them a little better and appreciate all that goes into the manufacturing of them. I get
a lot more excited over a nickel plated S&W model 51 or 29 tham any plastic auto on
a dealers shelf.

Well I'm more accurate with my revolver, but get more shots with my auto. It's pretty much a 50/50 thing, which I like better.
