PT 111 experience - anyone ?

I recently bought a PT 111 , slightly used, with the case and 2 mags, for $290. I was looking for a light, mid size carry pistol.
I fired it with several types of 9mm ball and then JHP ammo, and have had no problems with it.
I have 2 minor complaints - it's a little hard to re-assemble,( the trick is to get the barrel in the right position), and the front sight screw comes loose.(Loctite)
This pistol has not failed to feed or eject, and shoots a good size group for a DAO pistol ( maybe better with the sights tight). I feel it's a good medium size carry pistol, grips feel good, and good design.

Does anyone have any experiences with this type pistol? I know they are pretty new, but any info is appreciated.

Thanks. Mark

Mark, I can't give you much more info on the 111. I have shot them, and found the front sight to be a small problem, too. I have fired about 500 rounds through a friend's 111, and it works great. They are dependable, reliable, and really accurate for what they are.
Not much, but hope it helps a little.

Thanks, Calvin.
This is the first 9mm pistol I ever bought. I wanted to get away from the recoil of the .357 I was carrying.
I'm really happy with this gun, really like the design, and would recommend it to anyone looking for a smaller carry pistol.
