| Number of Characters in a sig Maybe I missed it in the FAQ, but i can't seem to figure out how to get more than 20 characters into my sig. Everytime I try, I get a "20 characters or less" return. Thanks.

| Try PMing an admin.(Chris or Jesse) The moderaters might know something about it, too. I had no trouble with that, but NRAJoe did, so maybe it's a thing imposed after the server move. My guess is that the long sig went the way of the buffalo, dodo, and avatars. Probably long sigs and avatars use too much server space with this many members, and so cutbacks had to be made. Like euthanasia at animal shelters. We don't necessarily like it, but it's the only practical thing to do. NRAJoe has a conspiracy theory going, but that's probably just paranoia.

| Thanks. I'll go ahead and hit up one of the admins for help. As for NRAJoe having the same problem, I imagine he was limited to 20 characters or less in his signature because of his sheer number of posts! He may want to shift his theory to something more broad, like, "They're rtying to shut me down!"

| Administrator ![]() | I think things are rectified now. We switched servers this week and It has taken me until tonight to get the avatars back up and the sig characters raised.(among some other things on the site). I have set the sig characters to 100. Sorry about the inconvenience. I was out since Thursday with limited board access and little conversation with Chris... MY MISTAKE... Drop me a PM if you have any probs...

i think it's a measure to avoid animated avatars that are the size of your monitor, and sigs that are three pages long. the funniest thing about this post is that you probably think i'm joking.
