why does a pic only work sometimes?

why is that? one time it will show right away and another doing exactly the same thing it will only show a link?
someone oh someone in his or her infinite wisdom .clarify this for me!

Same thing happened to me, when I copied and pasted the link for my Cetme it appeared just fine but when I did the same thing for my Norinco .22 it did not, instead it gave the link you have to click. ??????????? I have never had this happen when posting pics on other forums, it's just weird!

I'm currently trying to post a pic to the new postal shoot thread and each time I check with the preview, all I get is the link.

If I try to just copy/paste the picture (which has worked before) it gives the link to the temporary file on my computer. I may just have to go ahead and post it with the link.

...and yes, I am using [IMG] codes. I even tried using HTML, which I knew wouldn't work, but figured I should try.

Nope, not a genius, just keepin' up on that "situational awareness" thing. Hey, just cuz I'm on G&G doesn't mean I should go from condition yellow to white!

It also helps that I frequent a lot of different types of forums and self-taught HTML back in freshman year of highschool (1996, yes, I know that dates me, but you can see my age on my profile, hehe).

I'll do what I can to keep an eye out for the IMG code and other "permissions" being odd in their setting. As I've said to others here, I'm not tryin' to be a Mod, just tryin' to help out where I can.
