Good Scopes?? My first handgun was a thompson contender with a 10inch .44 magnum barrel. It comes with a original contender scope. it dont zoom in very far. And i dont really like it, i would rather shoot iron sights. What kinda scopes are my fellow contender shooters shooting?? The next barrel i am getting is the .223 cause i have a mini14 and already set up to reload the shells. But the 3030 is lookin nice too, just gota get the dies of ebay and im ready to rock!!! no much on this forum about contenders, thought id just add something thanks travis

| I preferred the 4X Leupold Pistol scopes on my .222 and 30-30 contender barrels because the were very clear and Have a Lifetime warranty! I shot 150 meter silhouette with the .222 and it was a tack driver! Rich

while not a contender, i shoot similiar and have a few different pistol scopes. heres my experience, simmons=junk. Burris are a pretty good pistol scope and affordable. Leupold handgun scopes are the best ive found, but are priced quite a bit more than the Burris. if on a budget, get a burris.

I have to agree with the clown, Leupold scopes are the best, but simmons does have some uses I use them on my 22's, and out to 100 yds they are ok.

I have a couple of Leupold 4x pistol scopes and they are excellent. The Weaver scope I have is good, but in terms of clarity, it is a notch down from Leupold, and the eye relief is a tad shorter than my Loopies. DAL
