New Encore Rifle

Well I joined the ranks of the Thompson/Center Encore owners. I just purchased an Encore Rifle frame in black synthetic and stainless steel. I ordered a .280 Ackley Improved barrel (it was only $20 more than the standard .280). I figured what the heck that's why most people buy the Encore/Contenders anyways for the wildcat chamberings. The only downside that I didn't see until I placed the order was the fact that I have to wait 12 WEEKS for the barrel (ouch!!!!!!!!). So I guess I will have to hunt for a cheap used barrel so I can shoot it.
If anyone knows anyone that has a barrel for sale let me know I may just pick it up.
Thanks,
Scott

I would like it even more if I could shoot it. How is your trigger on yours two-70? I have dry fired my a few times and it seems to have a little creep. Ofcourse I am not going to do anything to the trigger until I shoot several rounds through it but I am curious to know how others felt about the trigger.

I didn't like the trigger on my encore at all so I talked to my local gunsmith and he came up with an outfit out of Calif that has lighter and more crisp springs? The trigger pull is fantastic, even I can shoot it well.
Now I'm not saying my guy lightened the trigger but when it came back from being CLEANED it sure was sweet

most of my rifles are set at 3.5 pounds and reading T/Cs website it said they are approx. 5#. If it doesn't improve after I break in the rifle well I guess I will have to explore my options and have some work done on it.
