Uk Member, Hi To All

Hi All

Im a keen lamping fantic here in the Uk, interesting to read all your posts.

I am a gamekeeper for a largish farmer in Lincolnshire, UK. I lamp for Foxes and Rabbits, plus hunt for stag. I also look after the running of a pheasant and partridge shoot which is currently underway and very succesful this season.

Any of you intersted in the English way of hunting, feel free to pm me. There may be other uk members here, that I am unaware of.

Cheers

yes thats right, we set red filtered spot lamps on the top of the land rover. 4wheel drive and manually switch on and off from inside the cab. I have cut a section from the roof and installed a pivot chair. this method is wicked for bunnies.

Foxes are a little trickier as we have to squeel them in before lamping them.

They are a small family business in the Uk. they have been manufacturing silencers for bout 15 years. Very good quality.

Do you use silencers in the US.

your not far wrong there, it is a knightmare procedure to get a licence these days. Shotgun no problem, but vermin shooting, Well basically if you aint a gamekeeper you can kiss the licence goodbye

We cant have silencers here in the Dominium at all. but even with South Africa's !!!!edeup communist gun control silencers are still perfectly legal.

FoxHunter, even if you went through the considerable hassle of getting a legal silencer here, I don't know of any jusisdiction that allows hunting with a silencer. Correct me if I'm wrong, guys.

Of course, I can go into any gun store and purchase a pump-action shotgun or semi-auto shotgun and walk out the door with it five minute later, so don't feel sorry for us here in the USA.

We rarely see Beretta hunting rifles here in the USA. I'm not even sure if they are imported. The majority of hunters and shooters use USA-made guns. Remington, Winchester, Browning, Savage, Marlin, Ruger, etc.

Welcome aboard. If I remember correctly Fox hunting has been recently banned in the UK. What are the upper crusty types doing for outdoor entertainment these days?
