I agree with moose i think a .243 would be substantial at the least to hunt yotes'.I dont think it would hit your wallet too hard either

| Looking for a coyote rifle
Well I think The 1st thing we should look At is Pelt Damage.The 223 with the right amo is a good one for sure,And amo is cheep most every place.Are you going to sell the pelts? AND I said it for years if someone has $400.00 to spend on Gun & Scope,Spend $300.00 on the Scope,You cant hit what you cant see,All my Scopes are by far the most important thing to me,I hunt / Trap for A living,In all kinds of weather.I Must Have The Best!Good Luck Keep us posted.

you should use a 7mm08 to blow a hole in them and u can shoot them any were it will drop them dead at 200yd i took out a 250 pound hog at 275 yd and blew its brain out so and the next day i kiled a a coyote at 100yd it blew it guts out just about

For coyotes, I keep getting more convinced that .204 ruger is the way to go.
