Question questions on the bushmaster predator

I have seriously been thinking of buying a bushmaster for my varmint hunting but i have some questions. First of all i like the varminter but the 24" barrel is a little long for me. So i began looking at the predator but it has the 1in 8 twist. I hear thats better for heavier bullets but i like to shoot blackhills 52 gr. hollow points. So i guess im wondering if it will still shoot the lighter bullets as well as the 1 in 9 twist. Ill take any suggestions on other models because my experience is mostly in bolt action rifles. Thanks for any ideas or comments.

I love my Predator and the versatility it holds. Do you use the lighter bullets for a particular reason? I like shooting thew 75 gr. for the extra hit on coyotes. Plus I'm not concerned with fur damage. Mine is extremely accurate. I killed 2 yotes Wed. night at 250 and 300 yards holding the light in my left hand and shooting with my right. You can also have loads made that will handle deer.

Oh, yeah. It does shoot lighter bullets well. I've heard the lightest will sometimes disintigrate in flight. Dont know about that.

well believe it or not i use the 52 gr. on all the game i shoot including deer. You live in texas but im sure the deer in N. Texas are bigger compared to the hillcountry. I guess im not against using a heavier bullet but i just not used to it. Plus i can get good deals on the blackhills that i shoot. If you dont mind me asking, how much did you pay and where did you get yours? Thanks for replying.

Fast twists will stabilise light bullets but slower twist wont stabilise heavy, long bullets,I can shoot moa in a bushmaster with a 1in8,26" barrel we had made special for the action using 40gr vmax. samuel.

You know, I bet you could find a job in the United States if you looked into moving. I would not live in the Republic of CA.
