Hi guys, New to the site, long time into pelletguns. Not to but in on the dogcrapping issue, But it''s not the dogs falt. I've owned several dogs and they do this by instinct. The problem is with your neighbor. Most dogs are good neighbors and maybe you could get him to do his stuff at home. It's easier to train the dog than to train stupid humans that aren't as smart as their pets. IMO dogs are better neighbors than most humans. |

Could an airgun kill a human? Like, penetrate the skull?

I have a RWS 1000 fps and when sighting it in last year noticed at 40 yards it was penetrating 1" of pine wood. I remember thinking, "Hmmmm...even at 40 yards this pellet would zip through a mans finger bone no problem." Based on above I would say up close a pellet "could" penetrate the skull. I know for a fact of kids dying from chest hits traveling to the heart. I bought mine for pest's and stray dogs but realized fast it was much to powerful for rump shots on dogs/cats in that it was going to lodge deep in the meat and not what I wanted. They seem to be making them faster all the time. Now I see 1200 fps being advertised. I did take out one pine squirrel last spring that had taken up residence in the walls of my house. I lived trapped his buddy and relocated him but had to "take out" the last one.

i love them little slingshots, but i can't hit a dang thing with em i hit an annoying bird once and that was a huge fluke. my neighbor did the dirty deed for me though a plow blade on a truck works wonders for pushing a dog outta the road, outta this life and into the next. (he didn't hit it on purpose he actually felt really bad about it)

I can hit a can at 25 yards using paint balls in my slingshot.

latest I saw was Gamo advertising pellet guns at 1600 fps, I doubt they will reach that often though. I really would like to get an RWS, my Gamo doesnt seem to be very high quality.
