| Who's hunting this weekend? Moose, you out there? I'm stringing up my offshore rod for coyotes and leaving for the ranch in the morning. I even talked my girlie, the one that last month was afraid of guns, then learned on my high-power, then held the spotlight while I shot hogs, to bring her video camera to record the event. Cant wait! Gonna be a hull of a weekend. Steaks on the smoker. Cooler full of goodies. BIG camp fire. Millions of stars. Hot chick. Varmints. Can anyone top that? Pictures on Sunday.

| ...I live in a state that has 10 million acres of woods to hunt...and the only thing that we can hunt right now are coyotes. There are fewer and fewer of them, due to someone's bright idea to re-introduce wild wolves to the state...Brilliant. I know certain parts of the state are loaded with coyote, but I rarely see them where I live |

| Texas has hundreds of millions of acres of coyote rich territory. I'm blessed.

I'm not complaining about land to hunt on. I have hundreds of acres that I have easy access to...I just wish we had more quality game to hunt, like boar.. I wouldn't be surprised if they opened a deer season earlier though. Deer are now growing much larger and at a much more rapid rate. Bucks are being pulled out of the woods annually that weigh over 300lbs. Oddly enough, as the population has been increasing, the number of deer shot per year has decreased by the thousands. This may be due to the fact that fewer and fewer hunters are going out every year... There is a good chance that I could get a 2nd deer permit this fall...they've been giving out more and more bonus permits every year. *Crosses Fingers* | |

| Well frozen sounds like you have one fine weekend planned, myself and the missus plans may be as much or maybe a lil tiny bit more fun. Going out to the Ranch today and stay over having beer can up the rump chicken tonight with roasted taters setting baits for hogs and waiting to spotlight em then sunday we're having enchiladas beef and chicken, seafood quesadillas, mexican rice and borracho beans then spend a quality afternoon assassinating pop cans off wire hangers and 2 coolers full of goodies, oh I forgotted the Homemade cheesecake (chocolate and caramel) for dessert. LOL have a grand time!
