| best rig for yotes
i live in central ohio with gentle rolling hills the longest shot might be 500-700 yards. im looking for the best rig for yotes and maybe a monster buck. Im not wanting an AR-15 would like to have a hunting rifle. i saw a write up in a magazine about the Savage model 10 Predator anyone hear anything about them yet?

if your looking at doing 5-700yd varmint shooting , a 22-250 or 220swift would be a good choice. for deer, a .243 or bigger would be best. now alot of people claim to shoot deer past 300yds, very few succesfully do it. try to keep your shots closer.

The .308 is a good round, but what it comes down to is getting a good scope and taking time practicing to get good with it. A 25-06 comes to mind too.

In Ohio you can only hunt deer with a shotgun. No rifles. You can hunt yotes with anything though.

308 is a good choice for deer, and if you handload you can come up with some excellent varmint loads.
