milsurp ammo is not the best thing to use, as FMJ bullets do have a tendency to take off for parts unknown. the 223 does fairly well out to about 400yds, after that it leaves a little to be desired. although i have smoked a dog at almost 700yds with a .223.

I was thinking like some cheap wolf JHPs didn't know if you needed to use a soft point round for something like a PDog.

I had no idea they had P dog in TN. I gotta find some of these things. My luck I'll end up with the plauge or one of them will bite me i'll end up being dragged under ground to their palace and made their king....

How can you kill an innocent little critter like that when he is surendering? I can only do it if it's a headshot. sam.

In easter CO they were put on the endangered species list. Same goes for UT or they were as of 2003. My buddies and I would goto WY and hunt them and have a ball. The furthest shot I have made was 400yds with my 25-06 and a 75 gr blitz king. I don't know which is more fun, shooting them or looking through the spotting scope and watching them fly apart.
Good times!!

We have to learn to live with our depressions and reckognise the fact that we have to be a little sadistic and do things moma said not to in order to make it in the varmint hunting world. sam.

hmmm, now I know sam says he doesn't eat certain things, but wondering what his favorate recipe is for P dogs? Ok, I have never eaten a groundhog either, but if I knew a good way of makeing it, I might.
Remember, the plague is passed on by the fleas, so, maybe you should buy a larger scope, and start just shooting the fleas off of the dogs?
