not really overly efficent, just hate bending over to constantly get ammo. when we head out to kill dogs, we go heavily loaded. 2 or 3 rifles each, 750-1000rnds a day, coolers for pop and water and food. range box with cleaning kit and tools. if you hit a big dog town that hasnt been shot in a while, you can burn a lot of ammo in an 8 hour day. every year we have 10-12 guys, and we spread out in groups of 2-3 over a couple miles of prairie. i get to carry extra gear, because ive become the field gunsmith. we have at least 2 range finders in our group to verify long distance kills- we do a pot on who gets the farthest kill.
if you enjoy shooting, P dog shooting is one of the most fun things you can do.

They're like groundchucks right? Groundhogs/woodchucks. We have those but no humongous fields to sit down in and shoot a hundred in an afternoon.

I know you are serious and Billy and I were joking.A prarie dog is about the size of a fox squirrel, grey squirrel, or black squirrel.Only about 1/10th as large as a woodchuck-groundhog.In the west in the grazeland where there is no cultivation they have collinies that cover hundreds of acres.Thousands may be in one colony. They are considered a pest or varmint. Put "prarie dog" on your search bar and read about them. sam.

P Dogs are about the size of a 1 liter pop bottle, well the big ones are. pups are about the size of a chipmunk. they're normally not very hard to kill.
