What caliber would be better for more knockdown power, .223 or .22-250. for hunting coyotes. thanks.

For Coyote and smaller, I'd go for the .223, since the ammo is so much cheaper. The .22-250 is a fine varmint cartridge as well though. |

depends on what it is your looking to knock down. If it's a cape buffelo I would think neither of those would do. but if your talking ballistics the .22-250 has greater velocity and energy than the .223

22 caliber projectiles typically do not knock things down.

Either one will work if you put it right in the boiler room. You'll be able to hit them further out with the .22-250 though. I use a 55 grain hollow point in .22-250 and it works just fine.

i use a .223 ar from time to time. it works fine and ammo is easy to come by.
