Just got the first one about 2 weeks ago and it weighed in at about 46 Lbs on a scale, SO give or take a few Pounds, with ALL the Fur on it, it looks a LOT Bigger with all that Hair, they always look like they weigh 380 Lbs when you pull the trigger, but in reality they weigh 25 Lbs and are a LOT thinner, maybe that is why they are Harder to hit

I've hunted here in Iowa for many years and the biggest one I shot was right at 50# weighed on a spring scale,an old male with worn teeth.

Here is one out of the back yard last year. The bugger kept me up howling a couple nights. So one morning i called him in with a wooden rabbit call. He came busting in at 160 yards or so,stopped and was waiting to locate a second call on the open power line. That was it. The farmers got his brother a few days after, still a bunch around but not in my plot.

they run about 40-60 pounds down here in central Kentucky full grown

only a handful of people actually hunt them but everyone tries to kill them when they see em'

a friend of mine shot and missed one chasin' a old doe across a field while deer hunting. the song dog itself was taller than the full grown deer. it still livin' as far as i know
