I've got a 85lb black Lab. He was chasing down a large coyote with a rabbit in it's mouth through an open field. He was close on it and the size comparison was close. I'm sure the coy had much fluffier fur so I have to say this coy was about 50-60lbs, easily?

About this big. I never really weighed any I'd guess this female was 40-50#
I don't normally wear orange while hunting them. I got this one deer hunting. It is illegal to hunt yotes during deer season, but any CPO Iv'e talked to wouldn't press the issue. The law is designed to keep people out of the corn fields with the 22-250's while people are deer hunting.

Most adults around here are around 45-50 lbs but my FIL caught one in a snare awhile back that would've gone 65+ pretty easily. It's big enough that my BIL took it to the taxidermist to have it mounted.

Most Coyotes here in west central Indiana will weigh in the 25 to 35 pound range. Some will weigh near the 40 pound mark, with an occaisional big male exceeding that. The biggest I have saw weighed on good scales was 46 pounds, and pelted measured 57 inches from the tip of the nose to the tip of the tail.

They were pretty rare up here until about 10 years ago when trapping was banned during a mid-term election. Now they're everywhere, 25-50 lbs or so.

I don't know the weight of them here in the Western part of Illinois, but the one I saw as road kill this past spring near where we live was Rin Tin Tin sized. That's the largest one I've seen. Most are the size of the one pictured.

Not sure, but I keep seeing them around my house and we live in a suburban area. Admittedly, there's a LOT of forested areas and parks throughout... but I've seen a coyote no less than 4 times cross the streets at night while I'm driving and once during the day not 20 feet from me while I was walking.

Unfortunately, since I'm in city limits, I can't hunt the darn things.

Kind of off the subject, but has anyone ran across a coyote crossed with a domestic dog? These things can get pretty big. We had a problem with them getting calves in Northern Calif. when I was a kid.

Spotted this guy crossing a plowed bean field this morning by Burlington IA. He was about 75-80 yards in off the road.

never weigh them but the ifg says they are between 20 and 35 lbs. We usually messure them by lenght nose to tail tip and usually only bother with the bigger ones. I think they run about 35 or 40 inches to 50 or so

They are mangy looking down here around Vegas. Except the ones that are living in the suburbs eating all the stray cats and dogs. I am guessing they would be anywhere from 25-40 pounds or so. I went out sunday morning and didn't see a single one until driving back into the city limits and then saw two coming out of a housing area.

I have heard of white yotes. And they supposedly can get quite big around here. Having never seen one nor the alleged full body mount done by a local gun shop I won't bother to quote the body weight the gun owner stated even if his nic name is "Honest Leroy."

Mine seem to be what others are saying except they are full of mange the past 7-8 years.
