here is a great rescorce Trapperman.com, great trapping forum, and they are really willing to help young/new trappers.
I am a trapper, and don't wanna get into the scuffle here on wether trapping is ethicle or not, but some of the best days of my life were out the line laying steel. One warning, this passtime is highly addictive! good luck and good trapping!

As long as we comply with the existing laws the trappers have as much right to trap as I do to hunt.

This is my opinion and I'm letting it go at that.

I'm with Dale in regards to trapping, were all Not like minded. And thats O.K. too.
If you want to trap thats fine, but I don't want to and as far as Anti's go screw them.
I still hunt and shoot game, but trapping is something I wish not to do, though I have.
I should close here but one more thing I'd like to say and I'm in no way ashame to say it.
I've gotton tender hearted as I've gotton older and this has made me selective in what I hunt and shoot.
Example I will not shoot baby or young squirrels or yearlin Deer ...A.H
