A guy I know who traps here IA takes them unskinned to a guy and they get $8-20 for 'em.

Fur fish and game just printed prices at 30 for heavy primes in MI but i don't know actual prices this year. If they are right, i just might get out the steal and run a line next year, too late to start this one...

Maybe stupid question here, but are coons still out in northern states? Wasn't sure if they hibernate or not (northern IL - never saw one in the dead of winter). Thanks for any info.

I trap for them all during our trapping season. That is from Early Nov. till the middle of Jan. But we can hunt them from early Nov. till the middle of Feb. Although, they will hole up during really cold spells and then come back out when the weather lets up. They are out and about off and on all winter long.
