coyote pelt

I was wondering if any one has heard of this.....A friend om mine has a buddy who is a taxidermist and he said that there is an air-borne disease that comes off of the pelt whe being skinned. He said it can be very harmful if breathed in. Is this just a rumor? Can someone please shed some light?

THANKS

I've heard about a contact transferrable disease that can be contracted when skinning yote's and fox.
I never really looked into it because i don't hunt either but it could very well be true.

Not sure. But I do know that there are some blood born diseases that can be caught from cleaning game.
