.308 Sabot

I've heard that you can buy sabot's that will seat smaller bullets in larger cases, so you can fire a .243 for instance, in a .308 case and gun.

Anyone know where I can find something like that?

These guys will get you done with .22 (.224) in .308 sabots:
SABOTS for shooting (100 for $9.95 + $5.25 shipping = $15.20)
Gunbroker.com Sabots (100 for $7.50 + $3.00 shipping = $10.50)
JNS Supply - Sabot Accelerators (1000 for $40.00 delivered)
Sabots (200 for $27.95 + $12.00 shipping = $39.95; they also have the seating die for it)

As for a .243/.308 sabot, it doesn't appear that anyone makes one and if they do, I can't seem to find it.

I tried them awhile ago,not very accurate.I used them from a single shot 30/30 improved.55gn .224 sp.If you want to shoot smaller calibres buy a rifle in that cal.Like a fella i was talking to not long ago was saying he has drilled out the primer pockets on some 22/250 brass.Loads a shotgun primer into them and seats a air rifle pellet into it and shoots mice.It sounds like a lot of time and effort to just have some fun.I would much rather shoot Zeds out of my 22 or use my air pistol. But each to their own, what ever floats your boat

Good advice IM,I never had any real accuracy with the sabots,Maybe not enough twist. In muzzle loaders they went from 1in60"/1in48",down to 1in28". sam.
